Back in April - we went to pitch for further funding at Sutton Soup!  It's a great concept where local community groups come together to pitch for funding alongside getting fed homemade soup and bread.  We were up against some stiff competition with other great causes.  

Sadly although #OperationMango was successful and we probably managed to make the audience laugh the most - we didn't win that evening.

However - like we said, all tthe causes were great and it was wonderful to participate and be part of the local community.  Plus several of our members are also Scouting/Guiding leaders in their spare time and hope to go back to Sutton Soup with their young people to pitch for funding - now that they've experienced it!
